The album is released in the year of 40-th anniversary of “Arsenal”, it is a compilation of 13 (Kozlov’s favorite number!) iconic pieces of different creative periods of the “living legend”. The colors and the style of the disc design are of FC “Arsenal” (London) whose long-time fan Maestro Kozlov has always been.
Album review“Arsenal ‘13” album that was released under “ArtBeat Music” label and that includes 13 all-nation favorite compositions by Alexey Kozlov, is practically the first official compilation album of the band which confirms its creative longivety.
Why is “Arsenal ‘13”? First, according to my calculations it is the 13th album in the official Arsenal discography. I could be wrong but I’m anxious the figures will coincide and I’ll explain why: the CD consists of 13 selected compositions of different years – and this is second. Third, Alexey Kozlov’s birthday is October 13. Four, once he told me that his lucky number is 13! And finally, the album is released in 2013, in the thirteenth year of the third millennium Anno Domini!
In the end I’ll tell shortly about the idea of the album design, about how it was born. On October 13 2012, on the day of the 77th anniversary of maestro, knowing that from his early age he had always been a fan of London football club Arsenal, we, members of ArtBeat gifted him the nominal uniform of the club that had given the name to the main creation of Alexey Kozlov – to his band. On the T-shirt we put the age of the hero of the day, during the whole history of Londoners they had never had a player with the number 77 – and the present gave maestro unconcealed joy. For this reason developing design of the album “Arsenal ‘13” we couldn’t help but use the club colors of football Arsenal, style the cover as a T-shirt and put his lucky number 13 under the surname of maestro. I hope that the football players of the great club who had this number will not oppose to such a notable partner but will consider it an honour!
